3D printed prototypes for
technical product development
Produce a functional prototype for fit checks, practical testing or the next design iteration. Our engineers review your file, application and material choice.

VALIDATE BEFORE PRODUCTION
A physical prototype reveals what a screen cannot
Use an FDM prototype to assess dimensions, accessibility, assembly and functional behaviour before committing to series production or tooling.
Fit and assembly
Check dimensions, mounting points, clearances and interaction with surrounding components.
Functional testing
Test handling, stiffness and practical use with a material selected for the application.
Faster iteration
Adjust the design after testing and produce a revised version without investing in tooling.
Engineering review before printing
We do more than process an STL. We assess the part in relation to its intended use and identify technical risks before production.
What we review
- • Wall thickness and vulnerable geometry.
- • Print orientation and required support.
- • Fits, tolerances and mounting points.
- • Material in relation to load and environment.
What you receive
- • A technically reviewed production request.
- • Advice on material and production method.
- • Price and expected lead time.
- • Option for repeat production after validation.
Useful input
Send STEP, STL, 3MF, OBJ, PDF or DXF, preferably with dimensions, application, load, environment and required quantity.
Frequently asked questions
Which files can I submit for a prototype?
You can submit STEP, STL, 3MF, OBJ, PDF or DXF. STEP normally provides the best basis for engineering review and modifications.
Which material is suitable for a functional prototype?
The choice depends on load, temperature, moisture, chemical exposure and the purpose of the test. We select from materials including PLA, PETG, ASA, ABS, TPU and reinforced nylon.
Can you review the prototype technically?
Yes. We review printability, wall thickness, orientation, critical fits and material choice before issuing a quote.
